Sales Consultant – Automotive Parts

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, customer‑focused Sales Consultant to join our branch. The role centres on selling automotive and heavy‑duty diesel engine parts, providing technical advice, and driving profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source replacement parts according to customer specifications.
• Quote correct products at competitive prices using electronic and printed catalogues.
• Process returns and verify parts with precision measuring equipment when required.
• Supply stock items and coordinate special orders.
• Monitor competitor pricing and relay market intelligence to management.
• Contribute to branch sales targets, prepare forecasts and reports.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling enquiries via phone, email and online channels.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive parts and heavy‑duty diesel engine parts sales.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Strong understanding of diesel and petrol engine functionality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and standard office software.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
