Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried Financial Advisor in Port Elizabeth who provides advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts. The advert has no closing date and is open to applicants at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: provide quality service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Solutions analysis: analyse problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: schedule follow-ups and record details after each contact to build a call plan and keep quality data for retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs: set objectives for calls and meetings, tailor presentations and gather information on customer interest.
• Relationship development: build plans to connect with decision-makers and influencers in customer organisations.
• Compliance: understand policies, procedures and regulatory codes, and obtain supervisor authorisation for exceptions.
• Business development: monitor sales and market data for a region, attend business-sector events and share market intelligence.
• Data exploration: research and use primary data and business intelligence tools to analyse trends.
• Networking: contribute to internal and external networks of people, technologies and ideas.

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent.
• Applicants are appointed according to the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the relevant business unit.
