Salaried Financial Advisor (In-House, Highland Mews)

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried in-house Financial Advisor based at Highland Mews in Witbank. The advisor gives advice on a defined range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: provide quality service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Solutions analysis: analyse problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, answer information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: schedule follow-ups and record details after each contact to build a call plan and keep quality data for retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs and develop relationship plans for potential accounts, including prospecting and building relationships with decision-makers.
• Business development: monitor sales and market data for a region, attend business-sector events, and build a personal network.
• Data exploration: research and analyse key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Compliance: understand policies, procedures and regulatory codes, and obtain supervisor authorisation for any exceptions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• FSCA approved qualification and FAIS compliance.
• Experience in long-term insurance subcategories B1 and B2, and retail pension benefits.
• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) completed across all cycles and Class of Business (COB).
• Valid driver's licence and your own car.
• NQF Level 5 higher, advanced or occupational certificate or equivalent.
