SAIPA/SAICA Accountant (Pretoria East)

About the role

The consulting firm based in Pretoria East is seeking a qualified SAIPA or SAICA Accountant to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance and supporting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Compile financial statements and management reports.
• Process monthly accounting records and payroll.
• Handle VAT, payroll taxes, COIDA and other indirect tax submissions.
• Calculate and submit income tax returns.
• Liaise with SARS on tax matters.
• Maintain client relationships and provide advisory support.
• Supervise and develop junior staff members.
• Perform ad‑hoc accounting and consultancy tasks as required.

Required profile

• BCom Degree in Accounting.
• Completed SAIPA articles (Registered Professional Accountant) or SAICA articles (Registered CA).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and South African tax legislation.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Proficiency with Pastel accounting software.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software.
