SAIPA Article Clerk Internship – Pretoria

About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated SAIPA Article Clerk to join their finance team in Pretoria on an onsite internship basis. This position offers hands‑on experience in accounting, taxation and audit functions while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a professional services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior accountants with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
• Support audit engagements, including internal audit and control testing.
• Conduct research on corporate and commercial law matters relevant to client engagements.
• Prepare documentation for management accounting and cost analysis.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Required profile

• Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• Currently enrolled in a BCom Accounting program or equivalent.
• Completed subjects such as Financial Accounting, Taxation, Auditing/Internal Auditing, Internal Control & Code of Ethics, Corporate/Commercial Law, and Management Accounting.
• In the 2nd or 3rd year of study with Mathematics (not Math Literacy) as a subject.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
