Room Attendant (6 positions)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Room Attendants to join our team at The President Hotel for a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms within a busy 4‑star/5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel housekeeping standards.
• Prepare rooms efficiently for arrivals, stay‑overs and departures, ensuring all surfaces, linens and amenities meet quality standards.
• Make beds, replace linen, and replenish supplies following established procedures.
• Maintain a well‑stocked housekeeping trolley and manage linen, amenities and cleaning supplies responsibly.
• Assist with corridor and public‑area cleaning as needed and report maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) and at least 2 years of current housekeeping experience in a hotel.
• Previous experience in a busy 4‑star or 5‑star hotel is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of guest‑room cleaning standards, linen handling and room presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently within required timeframes, both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit, reliable, punctual and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Professional grooming, presentation and a South African ID.
