Road Freight Debrief Clerk

About the role

The Clerk – Debrief for Road Freight is responsible for debriefing drivers after deliveries, recording any incidents and ensuring all delivery documentation is accurate and complete. This role supports operational efficiency and compliance within the transport team.

Key responsibilities

• Debrief drivers after each delivery, accurately recording any on‑route incidents and verifying that all delivery documentation is complete and correct.
• Plan, organise and prioritise daily tasks to ensure performance targets are met and standard operating procedures are consistently followed.
• Execute work in accordance with governance, compliance processes and established service level agreements to maintain operational integrity.
• Provide continuous feedback on task delivery, supporting management decision‑making and process improvement.
• Participate in learning initiatives and training programmes to enhance work quality and develop personal skills.

Required profile

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in a relevant field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 1 year in a managerial or specialist role.

• Intermediate administration knowledge.
