About the role

An established legal practice seeks an experienced Litigation Secretary with strong Road Accident Fund (RAF) expertise to join its fully office‑based team in Paarl. The role involves managing RAF litigation matters from an administrative and secretarial perspective, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full secretarial and administrative support on Road Accident Fund litigation matters.
• Prepare, type and format legal documents, correspondence, notices and pleadings.
• Manage RAF litigation files and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Assist with court‑related documentation, filing and case preparation.
• Manage diaries, appointments, deadlines and follow‑ups.
• Liaise professionally with clients, attorneys, advocates, experts, courts and other relevant parties.
• Maintain organised electronic and physical filing systems and follow up on outstanding documentation.

Required profile

• At least 10 years’ experience as a Road Accident Fund Litigation Secretary.
• In‑depth knowledge of RAF claims, litigation processes and Cape Town High Court procedures.
• Strong typing and legal document preparation abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage diaries and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Professional communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and legal professionals.
