RN Supervisor – Full-Time

About the role

The RN Supervisor provides day‑to‑day oversight of nursing activities in a long‑term care facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Reporting to the Director or Assistant Director of Nursing, the role maintains high‑quality patient care while supporting the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily nursing operations in accordance with current rules, regulations, and facility policies.
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing nursing functions and updating policies and procedures.
• Maintain current reference materials and the Nursing Service Procedures Manual at nurses’ stations.
• Ensure all nursing staff adhere to job descriptions and procedural manuals.
• Participate in quality‑assurance programs, facility surveys, and government inspections.
• Prepare written and oral reports for the Director regarding nursing department performance.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in a long‑term care or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local nursing regulations.
• Ability to develop, maintain and revise nursing policies and procedures.
