Risk Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading banking organization, is seeking an experienced Risk Manager on a contract‑to‑hire basis to provide senior oversight of enterprise risk management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and identify emerging risks.
• Develop, review and maintain risk management policies and frameworks.
• Assess operational and financial risks across the organisation.
• Develop and oversee appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor key risk exposures and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
• Prepare and present risk reports and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Support effective risk governance and reporting processes.
• Provide strategic risk advice to senior leadership.
• Work with business stakeholders to embed effective risk management practices.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Risk management experience.
• Strong enterprise risk management experience.
• Strong knowledge of operational and financial risk.
• Experience developing and maintaining risk frameworks and policies.
• Strong risk assessment and mitigation experience.
• Experience with risk governance and senior‑level reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to provide strategic risk advice to senior stakeholders.
• Experience within insurance or financial services.
• Experience within a regulated environment.
• Exposure to enterprise‑wide transformation or strategic risk initiatives.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership or risk committees.
• Relevant risk management qualification or professional certification.
