Retirement Fund Administrator

About the role

The Retirement Fund Administrator will manage end‑to‑end processing of retirement fund claims and monthly fund updates, ensuring compliance with fund rules, legislation and service level agreements. The role involves close interaction with trustees, employers, HR/payroll teams and beneficiaries to deliver accurate and timely benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Process retirement fund claims (withdrawals, retirements, death claims), verify data, calculate benefits and ensure timely payments.
• Perform monthly member data updates, reconciliations, contributions, fees and risk‑benefit payments, and prepare data for unit pricing calculations.
• Liaise with trustees, employers, HR/payroll, insurers and beneficiaries to obtain information, resolve queries and provide status updates.
• Maintain compliance with fund rules, legislation, internal policies and Treating Customers Fairly principles, keeping audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification or working towards one.
• 2–4 years’ experience in retirement fund administration, employee benefits or insurance claims environments.
• Hands‑on experience with claims processing, member data updates, reconciliations and financial processing.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance‑driven settings and stakeholder interaction.
