Retail Sales Consultant – Cape Gate

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Consultant to join our Dial a Bed store at Cape Gate. The role focuses on maximizing sales while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales targets and provide outstanding customer service at all times.
• Maintain a presentable showroom, handle stock control, and manage inventory deliveries.
• Assist shoppers in locating products, give advice on product selection, and process cash and card payments.
• Balance cash registers, handle refunds, and resolve customer complaints.
• Keep the store tidy, perform cleaning duties, and ensure security by monitoring for shoplifting and fraudulent transactions.
• Attach price tags, set up promotional displays, and stay updated on special offers.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with 2–3 years of retail sales experience.
• Computer literate with strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication, telephone etiquette, and ability to handle conflict under pressure.
• Friendly, motivated, calm demeanor with a confident, engaging personality.
• Physically fit to be on feet most of the day and capable of lifting stock.
• Good knowledge of inventory techniques and ability to work effectively within a sales team.
