Retail Liquor Store Manager & Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking experienced, hands‑on TOPS Managers and Supervisors to lead our busy liquor retail stores. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, driving sales, managing stock, and ensuring excellent customer service within the Cape Town area.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve store sales targets, budgets and profitability objectives.
• Control store expenses, minimise shrinkage and stock losses.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving and GRV processes.
• Supervise front‑end controls, cash‑ups and cash‑handling procedures.
• Guide, motivate and schedule staff to maximise productivity.
• Maintain high merchandising, housekeeping and health‑safety standards.
• Process transfers, claims, returns and invoices accurately.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure high levels of service.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Relevant retail qualification (advantageous).
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• Strong stock control and administrative experience.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Strong people‑management and leadership skills.
• Ability to delegate, hold staff accountable and solve problems.
• Willingness to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Liquor retail experience (highly advantageous).
