Retail Claims Clerk

About the role

An ICT distribution organisation is looking for a Retail Claims Clerk to review and process retail claims, ensuring that all supporting documents are accurate and complete. The role contributes to accurate financial reporting and supports store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the claims register.
• Handle and process retail claims from initiation to resolution.
• Obtain required information and documentation for each claim.
• Complete credit request documents in line with the company’s Letter of Authority.
• Consult with inter‑departmental teams to resolve claim queries.
• Match claims with corresponding credit notes.
• Liaise with stores to build effective working relationships.

Required profile

• Matriculation with mathematics is essential.
• Previous experience in a customer‑focused role; claims experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assert oneself and negotiate amicably with stakeholders.
