Retail Branch Manager – Vredenburg

About the role

The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Vredenburg branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, driving growth of the customer base and revenue through effective execution of the branch strategy. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent client experience while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy to grow sales and market share.
• Guide and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants, fostering a service‑delivery culture.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, including compliance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Manage people practices with HR – talent management, performance reviews, development, grievance handling and capacity planning.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service performance and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• At least 5 years of industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
• Current Class of Business accreditation and continuous professional development compliance.
