Retail Branch Manager – Newcastle

About the role

The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Newcastle branch of Sanlam Retail Mass, driving growth, service excellence and compliance while delivering an optimal client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the retail branch strategy to grow the customer base and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise the activities, goals and objectives of Sales Consultants.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture and ecosystem to ensure an optimal client experience.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, business planning and strategy development.
• Ensure sales delivery, service culture, compliance, quality and risk management.
• Manage people practices for direct reports, including talent, performance, development and capacity planning.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual) and continuous professional development compliance.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Service management experience.
• Insurance sales experience.
• Credit and lending experience.
