About the role
Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is a leading financial services provider in South Africa, offering funeral insurance, education savings, life cover and personal accident plans. The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Mount Frere branch, responsible for driving sales performance, service culture and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute branch strategy and business plans.
- Deliver retail branch sales targets and activations.
- Improve sales and operational effectiveness.
- Establish and drive a strong service culture.
- Manage compliance, quality and risk.
- Lead people management, monthly planning and reporting.
- Engage with stakeholders.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) and passed FAIS RE5 and RE1.
- 120 Wealth Management credits or tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
- Fit and Proper, CPD compliant and class‑of‑business compliant.
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in sales and service delivery within the financial sector.
- Experience in service management and people management.
