Retail Branch Manager – George

About the role

The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Sanlam Retail Mass branch in George, driving customer acquisition, revenue growth and service excellence. You will develop and execute the branch strategy while ensuring compliance, risk management and a high‑performing team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy to grow the customer base and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategic goals.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture to ensure optimal client experience both inside and outside the branch.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, business planning and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, quality standards and risk management policies.
• Manage people practices for direct reports, including talent management, performance reviews and capacity planning.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, with service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
