Restaurant Manager – Cape Town

About the role

Our client, an international franchise restaurant/coffee shop, is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the Cape Town store in Fish Hoek. The role is hands‑on, overseeing both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations to drive sales, profitability and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Create and supervise staff rosters, coach team members and monitor performance.
• Control costs, manage stock, handle cash‑ups and maintain financial accuracy.
• Enforce workplace safety, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform baking duties and serve customers as needed.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years recent management experience in a coffee shop, restaurant or fast‑food outlet.
• Hands‑on ability to work both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house, including baking.
• Computer literate with strong MS Office skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluent English, minimum Matric qualification, South African citizen or valid work permit.
