Research & Development Engineer – Innovation (Mid‑Level)

About the role

As a Research & Development Engineer focused on Innovation, you will drive R&D initiatives for our AI‑driven SaaS platform. You will own complex features, navigate ambiguity, and lead small tactical pods from concept through delivery while mentoring junior talent.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research on industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor products.
• Generate and propose innovative ideas to improve our SaaS offerings.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept prototypes and validate new concepts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (developers, designers, product managers) to bring innovation projects to life.
• Document research findings, design concepts and development processes.
• Test and validate new features to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Own complex “Stories”, translating high‑level requirements into implementable solutions with minimal oversight.
• Manage end‑to‑end development of features, ensuring modular, data‑driven integration into the broader SaaS architecture.
• Perform rigorous peer reviews and self‑testing to guarantee code is extendable, secure and production‑ready.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates, providing technical guidance and constructive code reviews.
