• Allocate 33.3% of working time to teaching (1.25 hours per week) and research activities.
• Conduct research on air‑shower physics, cosmic‑ray propagation, and origin of ultra‑high‑energy particles.
• Develop and implement analysis methods and numerical simulations.
• Integrate hadronic interaction models into air‑shower simulation codes.
• Extend the CRPropa propagation code.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field plus a doctorate.
• Strong knowledge of electromagnetic and hadronic interactions of high‑energy cosmic rays.
• Experience in modeling and numerical simulation of cosmic‑ray interactions and propagation.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages such as Fortran, C++, and Python.

Required skills

• Fortran
• C++
• Python
