About the role

Join a growing team of Data Engineers in Cape Town and help transform raw data into accurate, reliable information. You will work remotely, organising and verifying data from multiple sources to support market intelligence and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Research and verify data across multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy.
• Gather market intelligence to support dataset development.
• Capture and maintain accommodation price and availability updates.
• Apply quality‑assurance checks, identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and gaps.
• Observe and analyse data changes in the student accommodation sector.
• Document work clearly and communicate updates, questions, and blockers.
• Support dataset‑related projects during busy periods.

Required profile

• Strong, sustained attention to detail during repetitive, high‑volume work.
• Good time‑management and self‑organisation skills.
• Sound research and problem‑solving abilities; verifies before trusting and escalates when needed.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Ownership of tasks end‑to‑end and ability to work well in a team.
• Comfortable learning new tools and adapting to changing processes.
