Remote Creative Media Research Methods Facilitator

About the role

The SAE Distance Campus is looking for an experienced facilitator to deliver the Creative Media Research Methods module online. You will guide students through systematic research processes, helping them connect inquiry to creative practice and prepare for their final research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live webinar sessions with supporting presentations to cover curriculum content.
• Provide ongoing student support between webinars, answering queries and offering guidance.
• Assess and grade assignments and projects, delivering constructive, timely feedback while upholding academic integrity.
• Participate in programme coordinator meetings and contribute to curriculum and assessment improvements.
• Perform administrative duties related to the module, including record‑keeping and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Creative Media or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in film, game, animation, sound or design.
• At least 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience facilitating online learning environments.
• Strong research literacy and ability to mentor students in research design.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
