About the role
Caithness General Hospital is seeking enthusiastic nurses to join its remote and rural services on Stronsay. Successful candidates will be registered with the NMC by September 2026 and will work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to patients in a rural setting.
- Participate in day and night rotational shifts as required.
- Collaborate closely with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development through the NHSH Flying Start Programme.
Required profile
- Registered or soon‑to‑be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) by September 2026.
- Motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Commitment to delivering patient‑centred, evidence‑based care.
