Registered Nurse – Trauma Department (Full‑time)

About the role

Vacancies exist for qualified and experienced Registered Nurses in the Trauma Department at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital. Reporting to the Trauma Unit Manager, you will provide holistic, high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients and support the hospital’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic and specialised nursing care to trauma patients, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Communicate continuously with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team about patient conditions.
• Administer medication in line with ethical and legal frameworks.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and promote a safe patient environment.
• Manage stock and equipment according to unit policies, reporting any issues promptly.
• Supervise and train staff, ensuring appropriate skill mix and adherence to scope of practice.
• Document patient records accurately and comply with legal requirements.
• Support doctors by executing prescriptions, attending rounds, and responding to clinical requests.

Required profile

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing with ICU experience.
• Strong customer orientation, energetic, well‑organised and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexi‑hours and on‑call schedules.
• Problem‑solving ability, resilience and ethical behaviour.
