Registered Nurse – Theatre & Cath Lab Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with strong operating theatre experience and proven Cath Lab exposure to join a technically advanced healthcare environment on the East Rand. The successful candidate will support specialised surgical and interventional cardiac procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and aseptic practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scrub support for operating theatre cases in a private hospital setting.
• Assist during interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab, adhering to strict aseptic protocols.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards.
• Participate in standby and on‑call rotation as required.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless patient care.

Required profile

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Diploma or degree in Nursing with a post‑basic qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing.
• Demonstrated experience in theatre scrub and Cath Lab environments.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational abilities.
