Registered Nurse – Rehab & General Ward

About the role

The Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Rehabilitation and General Ward unit. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the role involves delivering holistic, high-quality nursing care to patients with critical and rehabilitative needs, ensuring safety and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care to patients, maintaining continuous communication with patients and families.
• Administer medications in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, report changes to doctors, and advocate for appropriate case management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors and allied health professionals.
• Manage unit stock, staff hours, and ensure compliance with internal policies and infection-control protocols.
• Conduct equipment checks daily, report faults, and train staff on proper use of specialised instruments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete SHEQ incident reports.

Required profile

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse qualification with experience in rehabilitation or general ward settings.
• Strong customer orientation, energetic team player.
• Ability to work under the hospital’s strategic objectives and quality management systems.
