Registered Nurse – OR Circulator

About the role

The Registered Nurse – OR Circulator provides direct nursing care to patients during the intra‑operative phase. Acting as the patient’s advocate, the RN supports surgeons, surgical technologists, and anesthesia staff throughout each procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in the total peri‑operative process, ensuring patient rights are respected.
• Verify patient identity and operative site before incision.
• Complete nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Report any changes in patient condition promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with preparation of the operating room, including opening instrument trays and positioning equipment.
• Maintain accurate age‑specific documentation and medication administration.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia, conscious sedation, or analgesia, following age‑specific standards.
• Support cost‑containment by using supplies efficiently and managing inventory.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Ability to work with patients of all ages – child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with surgical teams and patients.
• Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and quality care.
