Registered Nurse – ICU Qualified

About the role

The ICU Registered Nurse will deliver holistic, high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients at Life Beacon Bay Hospital. Reporting to the acting unit manager, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and support the hospital’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care to ICU patients, maintaining continuous communication with patients and families.
• Administer medication in line with ethical and legal frameworks and adhere to internal policies and protocols.
• Manage stock, equipment, and instrumentation, ensuring daily functionality and reporting any faults.
• Support infection control and SHEQ initiatives, complete alerts and incident reports.
• Collaborate with doctors, execute prescriptions, and assist multidisciplinary team members.
• Supervise and train staff, ensuring the correct skill mix and scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Critical Care.
• Experience in ICU or High‑Care units is preferred.
• Strong customer orientation, energetic, and well‑organised.
