About the role
Our private hospital client in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (High Care) to join their High Care team, delivering safe, high‑quality patient care in a critical care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality patient care and maintain meticulous records.
- Mentor and train junior staff and students, including conducting educational rounds.
- Administer oral medications and manage wound care.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) and operate ventilators competently.
- Maintain resilience under pressure and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Required profile
- Current SANC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2–3 years of ICU or High Care nursing experience.
- Post‑basic qualification in Critical Care (preferred).
- Willingness to work shift patterns, overtime and assist in other departments.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ventilator competency.
- Oral medication administration.
- Wound care management.
