Registered Nurse / Clinical Technologist – Dialysis Practitioner

About the role

National Renal Care is seeking a qualified Dialysis Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary team in Sunninghill. The role focuses on delivering safe, evidence‑based dialysis care that places each patient’s goals and preferences at the centre of clinical decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis treatment.
• Operate dialysis machines and water‑treatment systems in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on self‑management, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Apply quality‑improvement and risk‑management principles to enhance patient safety.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing or BTech in Clinical Technology.
• Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse/Midwife or with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (independent practice).
• 1‑2 years of experience in a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis unit.
• Familiarity with relevant South African health legislation and professional standards.
