About the role
Life Westville Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for its Cardiac High Care unit. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to cardiac patients and reporting directly to the Unit Manager, Rita Naidoo.
Key responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
- Ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction in line with Life Healthcare policies.
- Manage other nursing staff according to their scope of practice.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, doctors, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Comply with health, safety, and infection‑control policies.
- Participate in cost management for stock, staffing, and equipment.
- Identify training needs and facilitate appropriate learning.
Required profile
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
- Essential experience in cardiac nursing.
- Matric Certificate.
- Strong planning, organizing, and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work at a fast pace, resilience and stress tolerance.
- Customer‑oriented mindset.
