Regional Sales Representative - Gauteng

About the role

The Regional Sales Representative will drive business growth, build strategic partnerships and expand market share for a renewable energy and battery storage client in Gauteng. The role focuses on technical B2B sales, covering the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with solar installers, distributors and commercial enterprise clients in Gauteng.
• Nurture existing key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct site assessments and technical consultations to recommend appropriate battery storage solutions.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date CRM database, tracking leads, follow‑ups and sales forecasts.
• Facilitate product demonstrations and basic technical training for installer networks and distribution partners.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning and regulatory changes and provide feedback to national sales and marketing teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of proven B2B technical sales experience, preferably in renewable energy, solar PV or energy storage.
• Strong understanding of technical product specifications, inverter compatibility and basic electrical concepts.
• Excellent negotiation, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently with extensive travel within the region.
• Valid driver’s licence.
