About the role
The Regional Sales Manager for Mercedes‑Benz Buses will lead the dealer network and retail bus customers across Southern Africa. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, identifying breakthrough opportunities, and ensuring compliance with the company’s integrity, anti‑bribery, and S.H.E. policies.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively manage dealer relationships and retail bus customers throughout the region.
- Plan, monitor and report on dealer performance, implementing action plans to improve market share and sales volumes.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with DTSA targets and strategic deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products, services, and value‑added solutions.
- Identify and pursue breakthrough sales opportunities with dealers and end‑customers.
- Report deviations and performance metrics to senior management.
Required profile
- Matric/Grade 12 required; a 3‑year commercial degree, national diploma or related qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle automotive sector, covering dealer network operations, sales and support.
- Strong knowledge of the South African bus market and commercial vehicle dealer networks.
