Regional QA/QC Officer

About the role

The Regional QA/QC Officer will lead laboratory and quality assurance activities across multiple manufacturing sites in the Western Cape. This position ensures compliance with all corporate and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement in product safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and implement the regional Quality Assurance strategy in partnership with the QA Manager.
• Manage daily laboratory and QA operations across assigned sites.
• Lead, support and develop QC and laboratory teams throughout the region.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Risk, Environmental and operational standards.
• Oversee HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, AFMA and other regulatory systems.
• Conduct internal, supplier and third‑party audits and compile audit reports.
• Investigate non‑conformances, customer complaints and perform root‑cause analysis, driving corrective actions.
• Maintain QA documentation, procedures, reporting and quality management systems.
• Support laboratory testing activities and provide technical assistance to site labs.
• Manage QA budgets, laboratory consumables and related procurement.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; a QA‑related qualification (BSc or BTEC) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a senior QA or laboratory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of QA systems, ISO standards and laboratory processes.
• Valid driver’s licence for travel between sites.
