About the role
Our Durban‑based retail group, operating 8 supermarkets and 7 liquor stores, is seeking a Regional Liquor Buyer to manage liquor purchasing across the region while supporting store performance and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Manage stock control, determine purchase quantities, negotiate pricing and ensure optimal inventory levels without expired stock.
- Motivate and lead liquor store managers, enforce company policies and maintain high morale.
- Develop pricing policies, plan promotions, authorise clearance sales and analyse financial reports for profitability.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in the liquor industry.
- Strong commercial awareness, leadership and customer‑service orientation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications.
