Regional Commercial Lead – Capital & Industrial Equipment

About the role

An established supplier of technical and equipment solutions to the food manufacturing industry is looking for a senior, customer‑facing Regional Commercial Lead. Based in Cape Town, you will manage and grow the capital and industrial equipment business across the region and support customers in the Eastern Cape.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of capital and industrial equipment within the assigned region.
• Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling and market development.
• Understand customer operational requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle – from concept and technical consultation to quotation, negotiation and commercial close‑out.
• Arrange and conduct equipment demonstrations at customer sites and company facilities.
• Develop regional sales strategies aligned with OEM product offerings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and OEM partners.
• Collaborate with technical support, finance, workshop and product teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, budgets and schedules while meeting agreed sales targets.

Required profile

• Minimum five years proven technical sales experience.
• Experience selling capital equipment, industrial machinery or complex technical solutions.
• FMCG background essential, preferably in meat processing, food production or hygiene environments.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
