Regional Administrator – North Region, Gauteng

About the role

The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU) is seeking an experienced Regional Administrator for its North Region in Gauteng. The role provides comprehensive administrative support to the regional office, its branches and the Regional Treasurer, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support across all portfolios within the region.
• Manage logistics for meetings and conferences.
• Offer administrative backup to the Regional Treasurer.
• Support all branch offices with clerical tasks.
• Prepare and type reports, minutes, memorandums and other documents.
• Maintain filing systems and records.
• Assist in designing posters and pamphlets as requested.
• Coordinate overall administrative duties of the Regional Office.

Required profile

• Matriculation and a National Diploma in Administration or equivalent.
• Approximately three years of relevant administrative experience.
• Understanding of the NGO sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong report‑writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
