Refrigeration Mechanic (Mafikeng)

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join its CDE department in Mafikeng. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing fountain and coffee equipment to meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, remove and service fountain and hot‑beverage equipment across the site.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial refrigeration units and vending machines.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Calibrate equipment to meet quality and HACCP requirements.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and maintain accurate service records.
• Adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standards in all activities.
• Test equipment before final hand‑over to ensure proper operation.
• Provide technical support to the Equipment Services division and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric or N3 qualification in Refrigeration/Electrical.
• Registered Trade Test – Refrigeration.
• Minimum 2 years experience in refrigeration, vending or fountain equipment maintenance.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 is an advantage).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely in a team environment.
