About the role
This position combines front‑desk reception duties with night‑audit responsibilities at a city lodge hotel. The primary aim is to ensure every guest experiences a welcoming stay and leaves as a returning and referring guest.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests, answer telephone enquiries and manage guest departures.
- Process reservations, promote room sales and perform front‑office administrative tasks.
- Conduct night‑audit procedures, handle cash, dispense and deposit funds while adhering to internal controls.
- Maintain brand standards, ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 education and strong computer literacy.
- Experience in front‑office or reception is advantageous.
- Ability to work long hours, night shifts and handle physical demands of the role.
- Authorization to handle money and undergo fraud/credit checks.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Experience using telephone systems.
