Receptionist / Night Auditor

About the role

The Receptionist/Night Auditor will be the first point of contact for guests at Protea Hotel Kimberley, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out processes during the night shift while maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, update and retrieve guest reservations and billing information using hotel database and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Prepare and file letters, memos, reports and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including date‑stamping and distribution.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries with professional etiquette.
• Welcome guests, acknowledge their needs, assist individuals with disabilities and ensure a courteous departure.
• Operate standard office equipment and maintain both electronic and paper filing systems.
• Move, lift and place objects up to 10 lb as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
