Receiving Clerk – Mall@55 Store

About the role

Dis‑Chem is looking for a Receiving Clerk for its Mall@55 store in Pretoria. You will be responsible for the accurate receipt, verification and handling of stock in line with company SOPs and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, scan and capture all goods received, ensuring quantities, variants and condition match invoices.
• Receive warehouse deliveries and invoices, process returns of unordered or damaged goods and complete credit notes.
• Assist the Receiving Manager with warehouse claims and maintain the flow of stock receipts so deliveries are logged the same day.
• Process supplier returns in compliance with SOPs and maintain physical controls over the receiving area.
• Keep storerooms orderly, manage high‑risk stock and support stock rotation activities.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Computer literate with sound numerical skills.
• Willing and able to work retail hours and lift boxes of 20 kg or more.
• South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records.
• Reliable transport or residence close to the store.
