About the role

Absa’s Quantum Leap Academy offers recent technology graduates a two‑year, full‑time development pathway in Johannesburg. The programme blends structured technical training with hands‑on project work across three specialisation streams: Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Solution Design/Architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across business units to deliver technology solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and contribute to key project outcomes.
• Participate in comprehensive training sessions to build technical proficiency.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to colleagues and clients, ensuring seamless team performance.
• Track progress, report on development activities, and maintain documentation.
• Engage in incident management, disaster recovery, and compliance with risk and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Honours degree in a technology‑focused discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Background or demonstrated interest in Business, Commerce, or Management studies is also valued.
