About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage commercial oversight and measurement for high‑end building projects across the greater Johannesburg area. This permanent position involves cost control, project management and quality assurance on prestigious projects with high‑end finishes, requiring regular travel to multiple construction sites. You will collaborate closely with architects, contractors and clients to ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and provide general commercial oversight for building projects throughout greater Johannesburg.
• Control project costs and ensure adherence to budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams to manage timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments across multiple construction locations.
• Provide cost estimates and value‑engineering recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in measuring and commercial oversight of building projects.
• Proven experience with high‑end finishes projects (preferred).
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites within the greater Johannesburg area.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work proactively and flexibly in a dynamic environment.
