Quantity Surveyor – EPC/PC Projects and Tender Department

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control, contract measurement and commercial administration for EPC/PC sub‑station, transformer and transmission line projects linked to Eskom. The role will ensure accurate valuations, forecasts and payment assessments throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cost reports, valuations, forecasts and payment assessments.
• Administer variations, compensation events and compile supporting claim documentation.
• Measure works, verify contractor payment applications and certify payments.
• Support project controls, budgeting and commercial reporting activities.
• Collaborate closely with project management and contracts teams to ensure commercial compliance and cost visibility.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience on infrastructure, sub‑station, transformer or transmission line projects.
• Professional registration as a PrQS with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cost control and payment certification in EPC/PC environments.
• Experience with variations, contractual administration and claim support.
• Ability to measure works and verify contractor applications for payment.
