Quality Controller – Automotive

About the role

The Quality Controller ensures that automotive assets are inspected, evaluated and documented accurately to support competitive pricing and customer satisfaction. Based in Johannesburg, the role involves on‑site valuations, test‑drives and coordination with the branch manager.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical and cosmetic condition of client vehicles and assets.
• Perform daily off‑site valuations at client premises while maintaining consistent standards.
• Enter assets into the warehouse system following key‑control processes.
• Provide clear communication and excellent customer service as the company’s ambassador.
• Ensure all vehicles are road‑worthy, have valid licence discs and are driven safely.
• Maintain the condition of company devices and report any damage promptly.
• Support the Branch Manager and guide junior Quality Controllers as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification (minimum).
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and clean criminal record.
• Customer service experience and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work safely.

Required skills

• Advanced driving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
