Quality Assurer Specialist – Retirement Fund Administration

About the role

The Quality Assurer Specialist supports the Retirement Fund Management team by checking, processing and auditing a wide range of fund‑related transactions. The role ensures service level agreements are met while mitigating operational risk for NMG Benefits’ retirement fund clients.

Key responsibilities

• Check and process investments, disinvestments, daily pricing of transactions and monthly contributions.
• Handle all types of claims, renewals, year‑end processing and preparation of statements and administrative reports.
• Respond to client queries and escalations independently and efficiently.
• Perform system corrections, allocations and ad‑hoc tasks as directed by the manager.
• Support the Operations Specialist when required and ensure the monitoring team complies with the style guide, legislation, internal processes and service level agreements.
• Use task‑control tools to measure turnaround times and conduct audits to verify work quality and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate audit trails and documentation to support regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Any tertiary qualification (or currently studying towards one).
• 3–5 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in fund administration.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and a high level of responsibility.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications and a results‑driven, analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
