Quality Assurance Pharmacist (QA) – Gauteng

Key responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP, company quality standards, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and review manufacturing and quality documentation for accuracy.
• Investigate deviations, non‑conformances, complaints and quality incidents, and manage CAPA processes.
• Review change controls, conduct risk assessments and participate in internal, customer and supplier audits.
• Support batch release, product disposition and collaborate with Quality Control, Production, Regulatory Affairs and other cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• B.Pharm degree or equivalent and current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Minimum 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, QMS, South African pharmaceutical legislation and data‑integrity requirements.

Required skills

• GMP and Quality Management System implementation.
• CAPA, deviation handling, change control and audit preparation.
• Validation, qualification and quality risk management.
• Experience with SAP, ERP or electronic QMS platforms.
• Data integrity and batch documentation review.
