About the role
The Training Centre in Kempton Park seeks a qualified Millwright Assessor/Facilitator to lead induction, training and competency assessments for millwright, electrician and mechanical fitter learners. This full‑time position involves both classroom and on‑site activities, ensuring learners meet industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct induction programmes for new intakes and deliver technical training.
- Prepare learners for trade tests and administer the tests in line with NAMB, QCTO, SETA or other regulatory bodies.
- Perform competency assessments, including trainability, RPL and work‑readiness evaluations.
- Prepare progress reports, gather client feedback and visit host companies.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and provide leadership within the department.
- Support commercial activities such as budgeting, business planning and strategy formulation.
Required profile
- Qualified Artisan Millwright with relevant trade test papers.
- Minimum three years experience as a facilitator/assessor in artisan training.
- At least three years post‑qualification work experience as a Millwright.
- Completed Assessor and Moderator qualification courses.
- Experience working in a training centre environment.
Required skills
- Millwright technical expertise.
- Trade test administration.
- Assessment moderation (RPL, trainability, work‑readiness).
- Knowledge of NAMB/QCTO/SETA standards.
- Health & Safety compliance.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
