QC Laboratory Technician – Milling Division

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a motivated QC Laboratory Technician to join the Milling Division. The role involves executing daily analyses of grain products, ensuring product quality and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely analysis of finished products according to laboratory SOPs.
• Analyse incoming raw materials and daily control samples, maintaining results within acceptable error limits.
• Record, interpret and disseminate analytical results promptly.
• Collect samples from production units as per schedule or as required.
• Follow daily route planning and provide coverage where needed.
• Support implementation of food safety standards in the laboratory.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain strict housekeeping and hygiene standards in the lab.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry or Biotechnology.
• 1–2 years experience in a cereal or general food laboratory.
• Computer literacy and ability to use standard office software.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and accountability.
• Ability to work independently, be punctual and dependable.
• Good product knowledge and understanding of raw‑material specifications.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrument operation and SOPs.
• Basic laboratory management and administrative planning skills.

Required skills

• Operation of analytical instrumentation for grain and grain‑product testing.
• Application of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
